Terms, Conditions & Instructions for Driver before joining Lway

Lway believes in quality service. Therefore before submitting your vehicle's documents and other personal information to Lway, you need to read, understand, and agree to the following terms, conditions, and instructions.
1. Lway is a connecting platform between drivers and customers. As a Lway driver, you will get ride requests as per customer's demands at your working location.
2. During the signup process with Lway, you will have to upload the pictures of documents mentioned below so keep the set of documents ready before you start the signup process.
List of required documents:
a. Valid driver license
b. Valid Vehicle Insurance
c. Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC book)
d. Valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate
e. Four side pictures of your vehicle
f. Aadhaar Card
g. PAN Card
h. Your passport photo
i. Bank passbook photo
3. Lway works with both online and offline payment options. We will need your bank account details for the amount settlement. Therefore it is necessary to submit your bank details and passbook photo.
4. Whenever your cab is on a Lway ride, you need to carry a valid license, cab RC book, cab insurance documents, and any other relevant documents to avoid the inconvenience to passengers due to your mistake.
5. Before starting each Lway ride, it is your responsibility to check vehicle condition and be sure that the following components of your vehicle are in good working order such as Service Brakes, Parking Brake, Steering Mechanism, Lights/Reflector Devices, Tires/Wheels, Horn, Windshield Wipers/Washers, Rear-Vision Mirrors, and Coupling Devices (if applicable).
6. You should know all the driving principles and traffic rules. You should use a seat belt and inform passengers to wear seat belts while driving.
7. You are not allowed to keep unknown people in the cab if the cab is fully booked by a customer (Share cab is an exception but only shared registered persons will be allowed).
8. Drivers' food, accommodation, toll and parking is the customer's responsibility in case of rental and outstation bookings so please don't ask for any extra money from the customers.
9. Don't use a cell phone or computers or any other device when the vehicle is moving or engage in other distracting behavior. If the driver must make or take a call or text message, the vehicle must be safely stopped and safely parked, before using a cell phone.
10. Don’t drive the car at speeds that are inappropriate for road conditions.
11. Don't allow any unauthorized person to drive the car. If you do so then you and that unauthorized drivers may be personally liable for any accident or loss. Lway will not have any responsibility in that case.
12. Don't drive the vehicle "off-road" unless it is appropriate and authorized for that use.
13. Don't take more seats than your car capacity during any ride. If you do or customers tell you to do that forcefully then you both will be responsible for any kind of further consequences.
14. Don't transport any alcohol, drugs, or other things during the Lway ride. Don't drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Don't drive if using a medication that impairs judgment, reflexes or alertness.
15. Please take the amount mentioned in the app after rides get completed. Don't ask for extra money or any other charges which are not mentioned in the app.
16. During any ride, if something happens to your vehicle then its your responsibility to arrange another vehicle to avoid the inconvenience of the passengers. Lway can help you with that if needed.
17. If you have a fastag in your cab, the driver needs to add that toll amount in the final payment separately and inform customers properly.
18. Lway only takes service charge/commission from the drivers so please don't delay paying your commission to Lway otherwise you will be deactivated from the system after the due date.
Actions to perform in case of emergency:
1. Use the SOS button to share your live locations with your emergency contact person’s numbers so that they get google map navigation to your live location directly.
2. In case of any problem with customers, you can directly call the police control room from our SOS options.
3. Providing insurance to customers and drivers is our plan but time being we are not providing it from our app so having third party insurance is important for drivers.
4. As a driver, if you break some traveling rules and regulations then it will be your responsibility to pay the fines and complete the other formalities.
